For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day. – 2 Corinthians 4:16

Everything in this world depreciates – houses, cars, money, and the society in general, but the recreated human spirit does not depreciate. He is daily renewed by the Word of God.

There is a renewal, a transformation that takes place in the life of every born-again, spirit-filled Christian. This renewal is by the Word of God, and it takes place in the human soul; the seat of his mind, will and emotions. This is what keeps a Christian fresh and full of joy in the midst of turmoil and troubles. Those who place their hope in this world are saddled with great loads of regrets and frustrations. Their lives keep going up and down, and they continually move in circles. Thank God our hope isn’t in this world, nor are we perturbed by what happens around us, because, “We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts” (2 Peter 1:19).

Refresh your spirit today with the Word of God. Philippians 4:8 gives us an outline of what we should think on. You’re unique. You’re different. You’re peculiar. You’re who and what God says you are. Don’t allow your thoughts to wander off by themselves, rather consciously guide your thoughts in what the Word of God shows you. Meditating on the Word is the key to living a prosperous life in Christ Jesus!

Dear heavenly Father, my heart pants for your Word as the deer pants for the waters. Let your truth rejuvenate me that I may daily be refreshed and renewed in my spirit, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
