But what does it say? “The word is near you, even in your mouth and in your heart” (That is, the word of faith which we preach) – Romans 10:8 (New King James Version)

God and His Word are one (John 1:1). In the Book of Genesis, God fashioned the whole creation by His Word. When He said, “Light be!” light appeared (Genesis 1:3 MSG) and every other creation came into existence through His Word. In fact, all of God’s creation is kept in its place and maintained together in perfect harmony by the Word (Hebrews 1:3). God’s Word is so powerful! (Hebrews 4:12)

Now, Romans 10:8 says, “…The Word is near you, even in your mouth and in your heart (that is, the word of faith which we preach)”. In other words, this all-powerful Word of God is not far from you at all; it’s in your heart and in your mouth. That means you can turn the circumstances of your life around to your favour. Just thinking about this alone should make you shout for joy.

You don’t need to cry over your needs anymore because God has given you His Word. All you need do is to take from it whatever you desire for your life. Philippians 2:12-13 says, “12…work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. 13 For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure”

For example, if you’ve been told by the doctors that you’ll never have a child because of some complications in your womb. Don’t cry or beg because the solution is in the Word. Search through your Bible for a Word that directly deals with your case and begin to declare the same. Before long, the situation will change because the Word doesn’t fail. (Read Deuteronomy 7:14 and Galatians 4:27)

Don’t let your senses or the situation lie to you, God’s Word is more real than both. He gave you His Word so you can use it to chart the course of your life. It makes no difference what your need is, as long as there’s provision for it in the Word, it’s yours! This is why you must begin to study the Word like never before and be full of it. The healing and other miracles you’re looking for are in the Word. Psalm 107:20 says, He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.”

Prayer

Dear heavenly Father, your Word prevails in my life and it causes me to triumph over every situation I face. Your Word in my mouth is as fire and hammer that breaks rocks into pieces, it destroys every situation that’s inconsistent with your desire, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
