“And all of us, as with unveiled face, [because we] continued to behold [in the Word of God] as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are constantly being transfigured into His [very own] image in ever increasing splendor {and} from one degree of glory to another; [for this comes] from the Lord [Who is] the Spirit.” – 2 Corinthians 3:18 (Amplified Bible)

The Word of God is the mirror of God; it shows the picture of the real you. However, unlike a natural mirror that merely reflects the image of the one looking into it, the mirror of God actually changes you into the image God sees you to be! Every time you look into the mirror of God, there’s a change that takes place in your life-a metamorphosis; you’re literally transfigured into the image that you see in the Word. The more and longer you look into God’s Word, the more you’re transformed.

When you spend time studying, listening to and meditating on the Word of God over a period of time, your attitude, mindset and belief systems will change. You’ll suddenly realize that you’re different; your life and character has been improved and you’ve become a greater person. That’s because God’s Word has transforming power. It is potent enough to energize you for success and programme you for greatness.

Never take your gaze off God’s Word! Keep your focus on the Word and not on your circumstances. God’s Word is the only thing that can change your state in life. It’s the only force that can make you that man or woman of your dreams. Hope, strength and faith will come to you as you look into the mirror of God’s Word. The things that seemed impossible will suddenly become walkovers for you, and your life will continually move forward and upward.

Give yourself to the Word, and surely, you’ll experience a day-to-day transformation, from one level of glory to another.
