And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth – John 1:14

One day, God, through an angel (Gabriel), spoke to a woman called Mary and said “…behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name Jesus” (Luke 1:31). When God speaks, His Word is the life of whatever He says. His Word has the life of the message that it carries. No wonder Jesus likened the Word of God to seed (Luke 8:11). Every seed reproduces after its kind. It’s the same with God’s Word; it produces what it says. If it talks about healing, it’s then the seed for healing. If it talks about child conception, then it is the child-seed.

Therefore, when God said to Mary, “…thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name Jesus,” the Word that God spoke became the seed that produced Jesus. That’s how Jesus was born the Word of God in flesh. He was not born of man’s seed; He was born of the Word that God spoke. Understand that you can’t separate God from His Word. Thus the life of the baby Jesus, when He was born was the life of the Word, and the life of the Word is the life of the speaker, which is God.

Until Jesus was born, nobody ever knew or saw Him as Jesus the man. The angels never saw anyone in heaven called Jesus. They only knew the Word. That’s why John said, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God (John 1:1), then in the fourteenth verse he said, “And the Word was made flesh and dwelt amongst us.” Jesus was the Word of God tabernacled in human flesh. Every step He took while on earth was the step of the Word. The Word became flesh, and dwelt amongst us, and we beheld His glory.

The same way, when you were born again, you were born of the Word (1 Peter 1:23; John 1:12-13); you have no past (2 Corinthians 5:17). The Word gave birth to you; therefore you must be sustained and nourished by the Word to live the life of the Word (God) (John 6:32-58). This is why Jesus said, “…Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God” (Matthew 4:4). How do you eat the Word? Study, believe and confess (Speak, talk, meditate…) it. Let the Word brainwash and ‘heartwash’ you. Let it take control over your spirit, soul and body until you can’t think talk and dream but the Word.
