“That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord” – Romans 5:21

Grace means the bestowal of divine gifts. It also means to be endowed with the presence of God. Thus it means much more than unmerited favor as many often define it. To be graced, or endowed with grace means God has given Himself to you, thereby giving you all that He has.

Romans 5:17 tells us we’ve been given grace in abundance, to enable us reign in life: “they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ”. It’s not something you work for. It’s a gift given to you by God, “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God” (Ephesians 2:8).

By grace, we received God’s nature of righteousness and were translated into the Kingdom of His dear Son, where we reign and rule with Him. Thus, we have dominion over the devil and we live in the righteousness of God that makes it impossible for him to condemn us. No wonder Paul told Timothy to take advantage of this grace (2Timothy 2:1); it’s the grace to reign, rule and dominate the devil, sickness, disease, the world and its systems.

The grace of God that brings salvation (wholeness, preservation, health, peace, deliverance, safety, security, prosperity etc…) has appeared unto all men (Titus 2:11). The question then is have you received that grace, and embraced God’s gift of righteousness? If you’re born again, then you’ve received the grace of God and the gift of righteousness; therefore you can keep reigning in life as a king.

Dear Father, I declare that I have received the abundance of grace and the gift of righteousness; therefore I’m reigning in life as a king. I’m dominating the devil, sickness and disease! I’ve overcome the world and its systems, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
