Casting the whole of your care [all your anxieties, all your worries, all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares for you affectionately {and} cares about you watchfully – 1 Peter 5:7 (Amplified Version).

Some people love to worry. Anxiety has become a lifestyle they almost can’t do without. It’s either they’re worried about their families or their jobs or about money or the country; they always have something to worry about. Take worry away from them, and they’ll probably not be happy. What an unfortunate way to live!

As a Christian, you can’t live your life that way, not after the Word tells you to cast the whole of your cares on Him. Someone might say, “I worry a little bit,” no; don’t worry at all. The Word says, to cast all your cares upon Him; not some cares. Let Him have all your anxieties and worries, so you’d be free to serve Him. Don’t cast them on Him in the morning and take them back at night time. Do it once and for all.

The Lord cares for you affectionately; He watches over you lovingly, to show Himself strong on your behalf (2 Chronicles 16:9). He’s very personal with you. The Bible says He rejoices over you with singing (Zephaniah 3:17). He knows you by name; He’s concerned about everything that has to do with you. No detail about your life is too insignificant for Him to get involved in. His delight is for you to live joyfully in peace, prosperity, and righteousness every day. He doesn’t want you to focus on problems or challenges; He wants you rather to focus on Him, and trust Him with your life. He cares for you affectionately.
