Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved – Act 4:12
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. – John 14:6
Salvation is only in the Name of Jesus. Some of the world’s religions teach that when your good works outweigh your bad works, you’re accepted of God, but that’s not true. Good works or deeds will never save any man. Such erroneous belief is one of the reasons we ought to reach out to the ends of the earth, preaching the Gospel through every platform, in every nation, to all people. Ephesians 2:8-9 says, “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.”
The religions of the world may promise life after death, peace and so on; but it’s a false promise because they can’t give what they don’t have. Only Jesus Christ has life and immortality for everyone who believes in Him (2 Timothy 1:10). He alone died and paid the penalty for man’s sin, and therefore has the right to give eternal life. In John 10:10, He said, “I have come that they (men) may have life, and have it to the full (NIV).”
The Gospel is God’s only saving power (Romans 1:16). It’s therefore important that you spread the Gospel with the passion and urgency it deserves. The Lord Jesus, in Matthew 7:13-14, emphasizes the reason we must remain zealous, passionate, and urgent with the Gospel: “…for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in there at: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.”
Many today are still in the dark and going in the wrong direction; in that wide road that leads to destruction. That’s the reason the Lord sent us to take the message of salvation to the ends of the earth. We must be in haste to reach the nations of the world with the Gospel; it’s our responsibility! We’ve got to preach the Gospel, and we’ve got to do it now; that’s the urgency; that’s the call.
Dear Father, your Word of salvation is like fire shut up in my bones, and I’m making it known everywhere, bringing men out of darkness into your glorious light, to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
