“And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth, Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost”.Matthew 28:18-19

As a Christian, you’ve been given the divine authority to act in Jesus’ stead. The authority with which you function in the earth is the authority of Jesus. When you pray or declare faith-filled words in His Name, it’s as though Jesus Himself is speaking. It’s important that you understand the extent of your God-given authority in Christ.

Consider a policeman, or other law enforcement agents of the government, they’re received and respected whenever they show up because their actions are backed by the full weight of the law of the land. In other words, they function by the government authority. In the same way, the moment you were born again, you were decked in divine authority; the Name of Jesus was named upon you-you put on Christ as uniform: “For as many as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ” (Galatians 3:27).

Understand that just as the actions of that uniformed officer is backed by government’s authority, your actions are backed by Deity. Therefore, no demon or situation can stop or hinder you. You may have thought there was no way out of that nagging situation in your life, but when you’re acquainted with the One Who sent you and the authority He’s given you, things will change. You need to understand that you’re not on your own; you were sent in the Name of Jesus. So, it has nothing to do with your ability but the ability of Him that sent you.

The Lord has given you authority to function in His Name. You’re recognized in the realm of the Spirit. Now act on His behalf. If you’ve been affected by sickness, disease, poverty or any form of limitation, it’s time for you to take charge of the situation. It doesn’t matter the challenges you may be facing, take charge today by declaring words of faith and power! You’ve dressed with divine authority; hence those faith-filled words will cause the change you desire.

Prayer

Dear Father, I thank you for giving me the authority to function in the Name of Jesus! I live by the power of that Name today, therefore my words and actions are backed by divine authority! Sickness, weakness, lack and every form of infirmity have no place in my life; I experience peace, progress, increase, success and prosperity today, in the Name of Jesus. Amen.
